Special Education Teacher Full-Time
Position Summary: To provide special education students with learning activities and experiences designed to support their intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. This involves developing individualized curricula, preparing instructional materials, and implementing each student’s Individualized Education Plan (IEP) among others.
Kindergarten Certified bilingual Math/Science teacher
Position Summary: As a Teacher at Amigos Por Vida Friends for Life Charter School, you will be instrumental in planning and teaching a bilingual program of study that aligns with the Texas Education Agency (TEA) and district mandates. You will create a risk-free, supportive, and inviting learning environment, catering to the developmental level and interests of students.
For all the positions the pay range: Minimum: 53,000.00 – Max: 72,000.00
Director of Campus Operations
Position Summary: The Director of Campus Operations is responsible for providing strategic leadership, management, and oversight of all non-instructional campus operations, including facilities, maintenance, custodial services, school safety, security, information technology, vendor management, and operational compliance. The position exists to ensure that campus systems, personnel, and resources operate safely, efficiently, and effectively in support of student achievement and organizational success.
This position supports APV by developing proactive operational systems, identifying and mitigating risks, maintaining compliance with applicable regulations, safeguarding district assets, and ensuring that students and employees have a safe, secure, reliable, and well-maintained environment in which to work and learn. The employee is expected to work collaboratively with district leadership, campus staff, contractors, vendors, families, and external agencies; exercise sound judgment; maintain appropriate records and confidentiality; and perform assigned responsibilities in accordance with APV policies and procedures.
Teacher Assistant
Position Summary: The Teacher Assistant reports to the Principal and supports teachers in implementing the instructional program and maintaining smooth classroom operations. The position provides additional instructional assistance to students with special needs and those who require extra support with homework, learning activities, and behavioral needs. Responsibilities include assisting with lesson planning and instructional materials, student assessment and performance data, small-group instruction and one-on-one tutoring, testing, classroom resources, special activities, and school events. The Teacher Assistant also supports students in settings such as the computer lab, library, and ancillary classes, may serve as a translator when needed, and may perform teacher functions during unexpected teacher absences.
