Special Education Teacher Full-Time
Position Summary: To provide special education students with learning activities and experiences designed to support their intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. This involves developing individualized curricula, preparing instructional materials, and implementing each student’s Individualized Education Plan (IEP) among others.
Kindergarten Certified bilingual Math/Science teacher
Position Summary: As a Teacher at Amigos Por Vida Friends for Life Charter School, you will be instrumental in planning and teaching a bilingual program of study that aligns with the Texas Education Agency (TEA) and district mandates. You will create a risk-free, supportive, and inviting learning environment, catering to the developmental level and interests of students.
For all the positions the pay range: Minimum: 53,000.00 – Max: 72,000.00
K-8 Physical Education (PE) Teacher
Position Summary: We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Physical Education (PE) Teacher to inspire students to develop lifelong fitness habits. The PE Teacher will create a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment while delivering TEKS-aligned curriculum.
Campus Security Officer
Position Summary: The Campus Security Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming school environment for students, staff, visitors, and campus property. This position provides a visible security presence, monitors campus activities, responds to incidents and emergencies, enforces school safety procedures, and supports the implementation of emergency preparedness and security programs. The Campus Security Officer works closely with school administration, local law enforcement, and emergency response agencies to help prevent security risks, ensure compliance with school safety standards, and promote a culture of safety across the campus.
School Psychologist
Position Summary: We are seeking a dedicated School Psychologist to support the academic, behavioral, social-emotional, and mental health needs of students in grades PreK–8. The School Psychologist will collaborate with teachers, families, administrators, and multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive psychological services that promote student success and well-being.
School Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
Position Summary: The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) provides diagnostic, therapeutic, and consultative services to students with speech, language, voice, fluency, and communication disorders. The SLP collaborates with educators, families, and related service providers to support students’ communication skills, academic achievement, and social-emotional development within the educational environment.
Secretary
Position Summary: The School Secretary plays a key administrative role in supporting the school’s daily operations. This position is responsible for handling a variety of tasks that ensure the smooth and efficient functioning of the school office. The Secretary serves as a primary point of contact for staff, students, parents, and the community, while providing administrative and clerical support to school leadership. The ideal candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced, school environment.
Special Education (SPED) Manager
Position Summary: The Special Education (SPED) Manager provides comprehensive leadership, coordination, and compliance oversight for all special education services at Amigos Por Vida – Friends For Life Public Charter School. This role ensures that students with disabilities receive appropriate services and accommodations in strict accordance with IDEA, Section 504, and Texas Education Agency (TEA) regulations. The SPED Manager works collaboratively with campus leadership, instructional staff, families, and external service providers to drive student achievement and ensure total alignment with federal, state, and charter requirements.
Teacher (PreK–8)
Position Summary: To provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences designed to help them fulfill their academic potential and develop skills, attitudes, and competencies necessary to become productive and responsible citizens.
For teachers assigned to PreK through Grade 2, Bilingual Certification is required to support dual language and emergent bilingual learners.
