Our Story
A Story Built on Community
Amigos Por Vida – Friends for Life began in 1999 inside the Sierra Vista Apartments, born from a community’s belief that every child deserves access to an exceptional education and the opportunity to reach their full potential.
What started with small classrooms and a big vision grew through the dedication of families, educators, and neighbors who believed in what was possible when a community comes together. Amigos Por Vida means Friends For Life — a name that reflects the spirit of Southwest Houston, where neighbors become family and people come together to create opportunities for the next generation.
From Sierra Vista to a permanent campus in 2008, expanded spaces in 2025, and continued growth in 2026.
